Burial or Cremation

We will endeavour to arrange the funeral to suit you. Whatever is the least distressing and most suitably reflects the cultural or regional standard is what we shall seek to advise and arrange for you.

The choice between Burial or Cremation is a very personal one. For some, the requirement of their faith will make the decision for them. For others, they will have discussed their preference with their family at sometime in the past, or details will be in their Will. If you are unsure, we will be pleased to explain the options available including advice on choices concerning cremated remains.

Your Faith and Places of Worship

The funeral can start from your home or the home of the deceased or we may meet at the Church, other place of worship, Cemetery or Crematorium.

Once Burial or Cremation has been decided upon, you should consider whether you would like a Service in Church (or other place of worship) before attending the Cemetery or Crematorium.

For a Church, the coffin may, with permission of the Minister, be placed in church on the evening before the day of the funeral or on the day itself before your arrival. Alternatively, you may prefer either of the traditional choices which are to process into Church behind the Coffin, or for the Coffin to be received into Church as you and the mourners stand.

We are experts in our field and pride ourselves on the very personal service we offer. Where required we can quite easily arrange for the funeral to be held in any part of the Country. If necessary, we can return the deceased abroad or send or deliver Cremation Ashes to any part of the British Isles or any Country according to your wishes.

We will endeavor to arrange the funeral to suit you. Whatever is the least distressing and most suitably reflects the cultural or regional standard is what we shall seek to advise and arrange for you.

'Green' Funerals

An increasing number of people are becoming aware of environmental issues and feel they would like to arrange a Funeral that reflects their views.

Suitable options may include the use of a coffin made from more environmenatlly friendly materials, such as willow (illustrated), and you may like to consider interment in a woodland burial site.

For more details of our Green Funerals, please contact either office.

Making Your Own Arrangements

If you are keen to arrange a Funeral yourself (sometimes known as a 'DIY' Funeral), we offer a full consultancy service where we can guide you through the regulations and advise you on what is and is not practical.

We can also offer you the full range of Funeral requisites, including the coffin, to enable you to complete your proposed arrangements.

Please contact us for further details.
